Questions

How should I prepare for my treatment?

As I come to you, I will need space for my massage table to be set up, I also ask that the client provides a bath towel to cover themselves. If possible, all jewellery should be removed and hair tied up. Apart from that I bring everything else with me.

Will the therapist leave the room whilst I get undressed?

Your privacy is the most important thing so I will either leave the room or turn around depending on what you are comfortable with. Some client prefer I stay in the room but look away so that I can help them onto the table.

Are there circumstances where I might not be able to have a massage?

There are some medical conditions that can restrict a person from having a massage. At the beginning of the treatment you are given a medical questionnaire to fill out, this will determine whether it is safe for you.

If you do have any concerns or queries regarding this please let me know so that I can advise you.

What do I do if I’m self conscious about my body and am not comfortable about being undressed?

We all have insecurities about our bodies, please remember you are not alone and all of these issues will have been encountered before.

Making sure that you are comfortable and happy during your treatment is really important, so if at any point you are uncomfortable, please let me know so that I can help you.

How often should I book a massage?

How often you have a massage is completely up to you as the client. As the therapist I can give a recommendation about how often I think you should have one but ultimately it is down to you.

You are under no obligation to re-book.

What should I expect from my session?

Every massage therapist is different and have different techniques, this might mean that it will feel different compared to previous massages. Your first session is all about the therapist getting to know you and your body, this will enable them to help you better.
